To clean the rear axle, use a microfiber towel and some WD-40 to break down grease and debris. Spray a thin layer of WD40 on the axle and then wipe it with the microfiber towel. To make this part easy and quick, turn the back wheels as you wipe. This will reduce the amount of time you need to spend cleaning the axel.
How do you clean and lubricate kart bearings?
Soak your bearings overnight in our Clean Touch bearing cleaner or any standard degreaser, then blow the bearings dry with compressed air or allow them to air dry over night. Depending on your desired goal you may want to relube with either our High Speed Oil or Grease Power.
How do you clean Go Kart Wheels?
Pressure wash, spray with 409, pressure wash. Use air to blow dry then wipe down with a rag. Spray sphericals/front hubs/etc with WD to displace the water. Take bodywork to the parts washer and use a soft scotchbrite pad to get the bodywork white again.
How do you clean ceramic kart bearings?
To clean the inside of the bearing, simply remove only one side of the exterior shield, shown above. Next, use Mineral Spirits to clean all the dirt out of the inside of the bearings. Then, use Denatured Alcohol to remove the residue left from the Mineral Spirits.
How do you clean taper bearings?
Clean all the old grease off the bearings, brake and spindle with solvent. Pop the old seal out with a pry bar or even a screwdriver, then use solvent to clean up all the old grease. Dry with a rag or compressed air. Pack the bearings by mushing grease in between the rollers until they’re completely coated.
